1.1 Sharing Personal Data Agreement
The personal data we collect can include the following:
your name, your email address, your contact number.
Your personal data is safely secured by Homage2Fromage and the third party email systems it uses; however, you will only receive messages from Homage2Fromage – not a third party.
Your data is collected for the purpose of receiving communication from Homage2Fromage as per the opt-in request. Homage2Fromage will not share your personal data with any third party and data is stored for the sole purpose of Homage2Fromage sending the company’s own marketing communications and news.
We record and store our opt-in requests to ensure that we are compliant with opt-in regulations.
1.2 Individual Rights
We take our data processing and storage very seriously and so abide by Individual Rights as outlined by the General Data Protection Regulation of 25th May 2018.
1.3 The Right To Be Forgotten
You have the right to be forgotten at any time.
This can be achieved either by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button on an email from Homage2Fromage (this button is always present at the end of every email from Homage2Fromage) or by contacting Homage2Fromage directly
Homage2Fromage also abides by data portability, meaning that you can request a copy of your personal data in a format usable by you and which is also electronically transmissible to another processing system. The Right To Be Forgotten is completely free of charge.
1.4 How long we store your data
We monitor our interaction with you and after 1 year of inactivity from you, we will send you a message to opt-in once more to ensure that the information you are receiving is still of interest to you. Inactivity is defined as not clicking on any email links and not opening any emails for 12 months.
If you do not opt-in after receiving our opt-in message after 12 months of inactivity, we will remove you from our data list. You can at any time opt-in again via our newsletter sign-up or by agreeing to receive our newsletter via our contact forms or by email.
1.5 Data Breach Procedure
We take protecting your data very seriously and abide by the Working Party Article 29. The definition of a data breach is: “a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed”.
Should this breach ever occur we will abide by Article 33 and inform the supervisory authority (European Data Protection Supervisor) of the data breach within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. The supervisor will then inform individuals if there is a risk, what the risk is and how to protect themselves from this risk.
